SHINEZOO
Where'd they go?
No - We are not part of the witness protection
program!
We have been in Austin for a year now.  We
miss California and our friends there, but we
are enjoying Austin more than we ever
thought we would.
Kids gone wild!
The kids have had a great summer.
Madison spent a week at South Padre Island,
a week at Schlitterbahn and Six Flags, and a
week in California visiting friends.  All trips include
the same main highlight - SHOPPING.

Chaz came out for a couple of weeks and brought his friend Tyler.  We all had a lots of fun tubing down the
Comal River, visiting Six Flags, Hamilton Poole (a local 45ft waterfall and lagoon), and Schlitterbahn
where Chaz tatooed his body using the concrete at the bottom of one of the slides! Tyler entertained us by
wear Kennedy's hot pink swim goggles to play laser tag - claiming to the other players that the goggles
were his "night  vision goggles".

Kennedy and Michael started the summer off with a visit to Sea world, a few trips to Inflatable Wonderland
and trips to the Lakeway swim center.

We all spent many hours on the "Floating Zoo".  The kids have made plenty use of the tube and
25,000
acres of water in Lake Travis.

Dan, Bethany, Kennedy and Madison survived their first "overnighter" on the Lake along with about 10
other cruisers.  There were lots of kids, ski tubes, kayaks and jet ski's. Madison only fell off the tube once -
apparently stars were included in the crash!

We also have a new addition to our family - Dasha.
Dasha is from Ukraine and will be spending 2 years with our family as our AuPair.  She is a perfect fit for
our crazy family - which means she must be a little nuts on her own :-)

Spirit and Emma are still doing great and spend most of the time inside.  They have enjoyed having a pool
to jump into when we let them.  Some of the golfers have even learned their names and stop by to say
hello whenever they are in the backyard.
